"It was a good day"

In the words of Ice Cube, today was a good day. I was able to capture about $28K from the market across all my trading accounts and $25K in gross profit from my challenge account. I scalped a few thousand right at the open on a couple of small quick shorts and then found my setup around 11AM to 12PM. It took me a couple of shots with about 40-50 contracts, but I nailed a good piece of the approximate 50 point pullback before noon and I was done for the day. I traded a total of 150 contracts. I thought we'd have a bit more volatility given CPI was out this AM, but after the pullback, the market continued to move up in a 45 degree angle the rest of the day. With the Fed decision coming tomorrow, I am not expecting a big move in either direction before 2PM, but will see if I can get 10-20 points out of the market. There may be some better action once Powell starts talking. The market has moved up so much in the last few weeks that I'd expect a pullback, but I have learned the hard way not to get married to my opinions! Just trade the chart in front of me.
