What a difference a week makes

I feel both lucky and proud to be back to positive after another nice day of profits. As crappy as the $86K loss was last Tuesday, maybe it is what I needed to refocus myself. I mean nobody likes to take a loss, but it really had an effect on my psyche. Since last Wednesday I have now made $101K in gross profit before fees. I need to go back and check my stats, but this might be a personal recod. Hard to explain exactly why, but all I can say is PATIENCE. I knew coming into today I was not going to be able to trade until about 11AM due to some things at work. I came in prepared that I many not put on a trade the entire say. As any trader will tell you, it is hard not to trade when the amrklet is open! After watching the market gap open in the AM, I totally believed this was going to be an up day. When I finally turned back to the screens in the late mornig, things had total reversed course. I had seen this pattern play out. On a down move through support on the hourly chart it felt like short was the path of least resistance. I was able to take just over $11K in my challenge account and move back into the black by $6K. I only traded 90 contracts which for me was very efficient. Certainly can't complain and very happy with my mindset this week.
